Baby Makes Three
It's been a big year for X Games athletes Travis Pastrana and wife Lyn-z Hawkins Pastrana. They welcomed their first child Sept. 2, while Travis was racing on the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the Global Rallycross Championship circuit. He's also prepping for two Nitro Circus Live tours, one in Europe starting Nov. 3 and a North American tour beginning in January. He announced on Monday that he will not continue to race in NASCAR after he had trouble getting sponsors for next season. This is the first picture the new parents put out with daughter Addy Ruth. Back To Business
Pastrana climbs into his NASCAR Nationwide Series race car Sept. 6 at the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway. It was his first race after the birth of his daughter, Addy Ruth.
Pastrana gets the crowd fired up at a 2012 Nitro Circus Live tour stop in Arnhem, Netherlands. The X Games Moto X and RallyCross legend is scaling back his stunts at each stop to save his body for racing, taking on a ringmaster role instead.
Out For A Stroll
Mama flashes a thumbs-up before taking daughter Addy Ruth out for their first stroll together.
Hanging At The Skatepark
Lyn-z and baby Addy Ruth hang out at the skatepark with Addy Ruth's Uncle Tyler back home in Maryland. Hawkins Pastrana has three X Games gold medals in Skateboard Vert and is ready to get back on the board as soon as possible.
The Air Down There
Travis Pastrana airs it out during RallyCross practice at X Games Foz do Iguau. Juggling the demands of NNS and GRC has led to a slightly disappointing season in both race series for Pastrana.
Sealed With A Kiss
Lyn-z gives her newborn a motherly kiss and probably is admiring that healthy head of hair, too.
Hitting The Gym
Mom, dad and baby hit the gym for a quick workout. In her Facebook post, Hawkins Pastrana said she's building up her strength and looking forward to gettng back to the skatepark.
In his first race after the birth of his daughter, Pastrana sported a new logo on the back of his NNS Ford Mustang race car with a stork bringing a new arrival complete with her own bib number: 199 1/2.
First To Nap Time
Addy Ruth Pastrana gets the checkered flag headband for nap time. Her daddy did not get a checkered flag in NNS and GRC this season, admitting it's been hard to juggle both.
Travis Pastrana finally got on a podium in 2013, by nabbing the third spot in the Global Rallycross finale in Las Vegas last weekend.
Pastrana Steps Down
Travis Pastrana announced plans to leave the NASCAR Nationwide Series on Monday. "My results were not good enough to get the sponsors I needed to appropriately fund next season," he said.
