Athlete Bio

At X Games Aspen 2014, Japan's Ayana Onozuka's highest hit of the night was 14'1" -- the biggest recorded hit in Women's Ski SuperPipe history. This former alpine racer made the transition to halfpipe in 2011/2012 and she has excelled quickly because of her ability to carve up the pipe. She has a natural feel for tranny. As she has added more difficult tricks to her run, her results have improved. She just missed the podium at X Games Aspen 2014 before earning bronze at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She already started off 2014/2015 season with a podium: 3rd place, December 2014 at the Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colorado. Don't be surprised to see Ayana on the podium at X Games Aspen 2015.
