Athlete Bio

23-year old Matt Ladley is a Steamboat Springs, CO rider who has competed three times at X Games, his best 5th in 2012, but he's made the Final every year. He grew up in the Midwest with a dedicated mom who moved him to Steamboat Springs so he could pursue a professional snowboard career. Ladley had a strange crash in practice just before the Final at X Games Austin 2013 when his foot came out of his binding mid-spin. He crashed onto the fence on the deck, suffering a minor concussion that forced him to withdraw from competition. Matt has spent the past 14 years developing a smooth style and big tricks in the halfpipe but says he really pushed his riding during 2012.
