Athlete Bio

Husband, father and three-time-defending X Games Aspen SuperPipe gold medalist, Reno's David Wise claimed another honor in 2014 when he scored Olympic gold in halfpipe. A stylish rider with laser focus, Wise is known for his rightside doubles, double cork 1260s and his ability to land doubles on both sides of the pipe. In 2014 he was nominated for two ESPYs, then welcomed the birth of his second child in September. Wise is going for his fourth straight gold in SuperPipe at Aspen, an X Games winning streak interrupted only by a silver at X Games Tignes 2013. He's also a humanitarian. His non-profit, "We Say Water," donates to water projects in Malawi.
