Athlete Bio

Now 24, Bretz earned his first X Game medal at Aspen 2014, SuperPipe bronze. The member of the tight-knit Frends crew will make his 7th X Games appearance in 2015. He made the SuperPipe Final in 4 of his first 6, and his talent can't be questioned: Greg handed Shaun White his first halfpipe defeat in nearly four years when he won the Breckenridge Dew Tour in December 2013. The former Mammoth High School wide receiver broke a vertebra in his spine practicing at the U.S. Open on Feb. 27th, 2013, and spent 3.5 months in rehab.

You Don't Say?

  • Greg earned his first X Games medal -- a bronze -- in his 6th X Games. His previous best finish was 4th in 2010. He made 4 SuperPipe Finals in six attempts and became the first person to beat Shaun White in a halfpipe comp in nearly 4 years when he won the Breckenridge Dew Tour event in Dec. 2013.
