Athlete Bio

After losing most of his left leg in a freak motocross accident in 2000, Jim started racing snocross in 2003 and continues to compete against able-bodied snocross athletes. He's taken two X Games Aspen medals -- silver at the inaugural SnoCross Adaptive race at X Games Aspen '10 and a bronze in X Games Aspen '11. He's also competed in Moto X Racing Adaptive at X Games (4th, '09; 5th, '10).

  • X Games 2015 will be Wazny's 5th SnoCross Adaptive appearance. He has two X Games medals: Silver in 2010 and bronze in 2011. He placed 4th in both 2013 and 2014. He also races in able-bodied classes on the ISOC National series and in a local Michigan series in the Pro Am +30 class, but was not in the points race.
