Athlete Bio

The Swiss/Russian Iouri Podladtchikov considers his 2014 Olympic gold proof that he's a good entertainer, and he's definitely got the tricks to confirm that status. At X Games Tignes 2013, he landed a competition-first Cab double cork 1440 (the YOLO flip). I-Pod is a star in Europe and recently had an extensive interview in German Vogue. The 26-year-old has incredible talent in the halfpipe but also has other passions, including skateboarding, photography and fashion. He shot model Aurélie Claudel in May 2014, among others. Russian born, he competed for that country at the 2006 Olympics but has always represented Switzerland at X Games. Iouri injured his left ankle on Nov. 21 and had surgery on Nov. 27.
