Athlete Bio

In addition to being the first international freestyle hero, Edgar was one of the original freestyle gods, period. He was part of the original Crusty movies and appeared on the cover of American motocross magazines when Americans were still trying to figure out what freestyle really was. Winner of the first X-Fighters in Madrid in 2002, Edgar earned his first X Games medal in three attempts at X Games Foz: silver in Best Whip. He upped that to gold in from of the hometown crowd in Barcelona and then netter another Best Whip silver in Munich. A 3-time MX Spanish champion (80cc), Edgar is a favorite in both Speed & Style and Best Whip in LA.

  • Edgar, a Barcelona native, earned his first X Games medal in three attempts in Foz do Iguacu 2013 after claiming a silver in Best Whip. He also owns a Best Whip gold from Barcelona and silver from Munich. In Barcelona, Edgar became the first male Spanish athlete to win gold since Javier Bujanda won AIL Vert Triples in 1999.
