Athlete Bio

26-year-old Spencer O'Brien is one of the most progressive female slopestyle riders, with four X Games medals--one silver, three bronze--in her nine appearances. The 2013 World Champion is a perennial favorite and is willing to push limits. If the high risk/reward rider sticks a run (and she's attempted a 900 in competition), her first X Games gold could come in 2015. The Canadian has struggled with shoulder bursitis and had wrist surgery in 2013, but is coming into the 2015 season injury-free.

You Don't Say?

  • Spencer earned X Games Aspen 2014 Slopestyle bronze, her forth X Games medal: one silver in 2009, three bronze in 2008, 2013 and 2014. She finished 12th at the inaugural slopestyle event at the 2014 Olympics for Canada and was the 2013 World Snowboard Champion. She also won the overall 2012 Winter Dew Tour slopestyle title.
