Athlete Bio

Chile's Francisco "Coco" Zurita stands out on the vert ramp for a number of reasons: his bike is set up like a modern street rider's machine, he blasts some of the highest airs of the entire field and he rides the halfpipe as if it were a flowing set of trails. Coco's amazing bike control results in airs that are so stylish, he doesn't even need to do tricks to capture the attention of his peers on the deck and the spectators in the crowd. He has moves like double tailwhips and flair tailwhips, and combined with his style and friendly attitude, Coco is a favorite of the crowd and his competitors alike. He earned his first X Games medal -- vert silver -- at Foz do Iguacu in April.

You Don't Say?

  • Coco has seven X Games Vert appearances and one silver medal from X Games Foz do Iguacu 2013. Along with fellow rider Simon Tabron, Coco will be riding breakless at X Games Austin 2014, his first time without breaks in competition. He was the first rider to pull a triple tailwhip in vert competition.
