About Mat

The first international rider to medal in X Games MTX Freestyle, Switzerland's Rebeaud earned silver in 2008. Rebeaud was at the forefront of the European freestyle scene and captured the European IFMXF points series in both '05 and '06 before working his way onto an even bigger stage. He won the Red Bull X-Fighters series in 2008 and made the podium at two stops in 2009, proving he was one of the best riders in the world. However, injuries -- primarily a broken left femur -- kept him out of the scene in 2011 and 2012. He appeared at all found X Games summer event stops in 2013 in Speed & Style and earned his first medals since 2008.

  • Mat is a five-time X Games Moto X medalist with 4 silver and 1 bronze. He claimed his Speed & Style bronze at X Games Foz 2013; his first medal since 2008 when he became the first international rider to medal in X Games MTX Freestyle. He is also a 2008 Red Bull X-Fighters champion.
