Dual sportsman (TORC truck racing and boardercross), X Games gold medalist (2011) and self-proclaimed U.P. (Upper Peninsula) hillbilly and meathead Nick Baumgartner is ready to take back gold. He made the podium at the 2015 World Snowboard Championships (3rd in Kreischberg, AUT) and has been one of the top-ranked Americans since 2006, finishing 3rd overall in 2009. The former linebacker and all-American wrestler has a sign in Bates Township, Michigan, welcoming visitors to the "Home of Nick Baumgartner." The father works pouring concrete, but the only woman in his life is his dog, Oakley. His now 10-year old son was on Nick's shoulders when Nick stood on the X Games podium in 2011.
- In nine X Games SBX appearances, Nick has made the Final in four and, with a 2011 gold and 2012 silver, he's podiumed at two. He's competed in three sports at X Games: Snowboarder X, UltraCross and Stadium Super Trucks. The two-time Olympian was name Rookie of the Year in the 2011 TORC truck racing series.
