About Cheryl

The first woman to land a 900 in a slopestyle competition, Maas was named Snowboarder Magazine's Female Rider of the Year for 2011 in the February 2012 issue. Cheryl is known for her no-nonsense attitude and her aggressive riding in the park, backcountry and the streets. The 30-year old has competed twice in the Olympics, once in halfpipe in 2006 and in 2014 in slopestyle. She is proud of the family and her spouse, X Games medalist Stine Brun Kjeldaas have cultivated, two little girls, with another on the way in April.

  • Cheryl has seven X Games appearances but no medals. Her best finish was sixth in 2010 and 2011. She has competed twice at the Olympics, once in halfpipe 2010 and again in slopestyle 2014. She has two little girls (and another baby on the way) with her spouse, X Games medalist Stine Brun Kjeldaas.
