Athlete Bio

Five-time X Games medalist Morgan Wade is a legend among peers who respect, and even cherish, his creative eye and willingness to go huge, consequences -- and contest results -- be damned. Big Air fits the Texan's "go big or why bother" philosophy, and with a max height of 23 feet, 3 inches in Barcelona 2013, Wade owns the X Games Record for the highest recorded air on the quarterpipe. He debuted at X Games in 2003 and won his first gold medal in LA 2013 Big Air. The 31-year-old is outright fearless, and maybe he should be -- he's a Krav Maga (self-defense) instructor, active in the firearm industry, and also frequently entertains the troops as park of Bikes Over Baghdad.

  • X Games Austin 2015 will be Wade's 15th appearance. He is a five-time X Games medalist who claimed a BMX Big Air gold in LA 2013 and became the X Games BMX Big Air height record holder at X Games Barcelona 2013 with a max height of 23-feet 3-inches.
