Athlete Bio

Former three-time AMA Pro Motocross champion and X Games SuperMoto gold medalist Doug Henry has the most racing experience of all competitors in SnoCross Adaptive. He even raced professional snocross in the late 90s. Henry has two silver and a bronze in SnoCross Adaptive and led every lap but the last one in 2013. He has developed his own suspension-based snowmobile seat, which has improved with each X Games appearance, helping Doug race and jump harder and be more competitive. He's a T10-12 paraplegic due to a 2007 Supermoto crash. At 45, Henry is the oldest snowmobile competitor and, if he wins, would be the oldest gold medalist ever at an X Games winter event.

You Don't Say?

  • Doug is a four-time X Games Medalist with a gold in SuperMoto from 2005. X Games Aspen 2014 is his 10th X Games appearance and he is a three-time AMA Pro Motocross Champion. Doug is paralyzed below the waist after a Supermoto accident in 2007 and he has a custom seat that debuted in X Games Aspen 2011. All X Games paraplegic drivers now emulate this seat.
