Review: Rip Curl Flashbomb Plus
Rip Curl Flash Bomb Plus
A front and back look at the latest offering from Rip Curl, the Flash Bomb Plus. The 3/2mm retails for approximately $500, the 4/3mm goes for $530.
E4 Flash Lining
Touted to have 30 percent more stretch and be 20 percent lighter, the E4 Flash Lining features two engineered layers that funnel water out of the suit once it is hung up, making it warm and cozy most of the time.
Offering a chest and back zip option, the Flash Bomb Plus is easy to get into and comfortable once you're zipped up. The point of entry is your call.
An adjustable collar seals the neck and helps prevent water flushes.
The E4 neoprene is reported to be 20 percent lighter than last year's rubber, which makes it easier to get around in and more comfortable for those long hours in the chilly water.
Internal seams are taped with E4+ super stretch tape, allowing for maximum seam stretch while giving ultimate seam sealing and comfort.
Unique air-chamber construction is lined with titanium, locking in body heat, making the new construction warmer, lighter, and more flexible than conventional neoprene.
Re-enforced Stress Points
With spot taping reinforcing the stress points of the suit there's an added layer of protection when you're pulling it on and off.
Don't be afraid to run a little wild this winter ... but remember to stay warm.
