Coming up with Bruce and Andy Irons, Dustin Barca joined the ASP World Tour for a brief stint. A born fighter, he's since turned his attention to MMA training and GMO protesting.

For the past 10-plus years Dustin Barca has wintered at the Oakley house that fronts Off The Wall. As much his home spot as anywhere on Kauai, he's helped set the bar their and paved the way for kids like Sebastian Zietz to come up.

While he made his name as a surfer, the fight life has always been part of him. The son of a karate teacher, Barca got into Jiu Jitsu when he was 14.

"I like being the underdog," says Barca. Of course he does; it only adds fuel to the fire.
