Earlier this week John John Florence was pulling in at Pipeline and paddling Jaws, all a typical winter's day for the world tour star. That would have been enough for most pro surfers to call it a month, but obviously Florence is not most pro surfers. He's something special. He has been for a long time, but as he matures he's turning into more of a force than ever reckoned. His big-wave act is better than 99.9 percent of the world tour, that's a given. And as evidence by this latest video drop, his air game is going into high gear. With body English honed at many a skatepark session, his upper body is quiet and well composed. He doesn't flail, he flows, even when spinning or reversing. If this is the trailer to Florence's upcoming movie, we can't wait to see it when it's done.
