White's victory was clinched on the first run of the Men's Snowboard SuperPipe finals at X Games Aspen in 2012. However, he returned to the top of the pipe for a victory lap, and walked away with a perfect 100 score -- and a five-peat.
The battle for gold in Skateboard Vert frequently pits White against Pierre-Luc Gagnon. In 2010 (pictured here), Gagnon edged out White for X Games gold. A year later, White returned to claim the gold medal over Gagnon.
In March 2012, White traveled to Tignes, France, for Winter X Games Europe. On his first run of the night, he claimed the high score in Men's Snowboard SuperPipe finals and took the gold medal wth ease.
In White's first appearance at X Games Tignes in 2012, he walked away with gold medals in both Slopestyle and SuperPipe. Not a bad week's work. Will he continue his double-gold streak in Aspen in 2013? We'll all have to wait to see.
