A day in the life of Sean Pettit
Welcome to a day in the life freeskier Sean Pettit. Each morning during the summer in his hometown of Whistler, Pettit rides his bike from the parking lot to the lift and then heads up for a day of skiing in the sun.
The Ride Up
After his bike ride, he has to take two chairlifts, a bus ride and one more chairlift to get up on the glacier.
Once you walk through this tunnel, it opens up to Blackcomb Glacier, and all of the different parks come into view.
A huge part of Pettit's day on the glacier is doing photo shoots and filming. You can see he's holding a GoPro camera in his hand in this shot.
Pettit's time on the glacier is mostly spent hitting the jumps. The jumps usually end up getting too slow in the afternoon because of the heat.
Closer to the end of the day, the clouds rolled in, which helped keep the snow fast. For the last two hours of the day, everyone was sending it on this hip, and without a doubt, Pettit was going bigger than most.
Right after skiing, Pettit dropped his ski stuff in his truck and headed straight for the skatepark.
Pettit still manages to get in the skatepark on a regular basis despite the four days a week he spends on the glacier. Here he is shredding a big wall at the park.
After a good skate session, Pettit heads back to his truck to put the wraps on another great day on the glacier and in the park.
