Triple Set Challenge
Red Bull Triple Set
Last Saturday, Oct. 19, Red Bull held a Triple Set contest on the roof of the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego, Calif. Surrounded by a pool and VIP bungalows, skaters came from far and wide to grab a piece of the $10,000 prize purse and imprint their place in skate lore. With hometown hero and Red Bull alum Ryan Sheckler in attendance, the field got serious right off the bat and the intense skating commenced. Here, Chase Webb gets tricky with a frontside 180 to switch feeble grind.
Moose with a nollie frontside boardslide as the crowd cheered on.
A view from the 10th floor -- Derek Elmendorf barley grinds the rail.
Dave Bachinsky is always fun to shoot with and he does most things really easily and with style, like this frontside 180 flip.
The best judges are ones who skate, and here Aaron Astorga, Neal Mims, Felix Arguelles and Rod James take in the skating and lay down the scores.
Chris Troy had kickflip crooked grinds on lock all day.

The Red Bull girls doing what they do -- looking good and keeping everyone hydrated.
As a fellow Canadian I'm always stoked to see Jordan Hoffart rip an event. Here Hoffart noseblunts in the midst of the chaos.
Ryan Sheckler was on fire all day while flipping and rotating in and out of everything -- first try frontside salad grind backside 180 out.
Without question Alec Majerus dominated all day with tricks like this massive kickflip to frontside nosegrind.
After it was all said and done Alec Majerus came out on top to take home the $7,000, with Hoffart in second and Sheckler in third.
