Anti Hero "Tent City" tenth anniversary
2014 marks the tenth anniversary of the release of one of the greatest skateboard tour videos ever made, Anti Hero Skateboards "Tent City," and to commemorate the anniversary, Anti Hero is re-releasing a deluxe version on iTunes. Here, filmmaker Buddy Nichols looks back on the tour. "We camped wherever. With 14 dudes, we weren't picky," says Nichols.
"We had been in small towns for weeks and then finally, we were in Sydney. The boys cut loose shortly after this picture was taken," says Nichols. (Left to right: Julien Stranger, Frank Gerwer, Buddy Nichols, Rick Charnoski.)
John Cardiel, Joey Tershay
"There are so many random little concrete slabs and trippy bowl type things left over from who knows when in Australia. This was a weird one -- in a random field next to some horses -- Bailey did a backside noseblunt right next to this. That's John Cardiel and Joey Tershay with one of the horses."

"This is in a small fullpipe elbow. I think Johnny is thinking about looping the thing sideways. This was an epic display of AH ripping," says Nichols.

According to Nichols, "this is the small pipe that appeared out of nowhere."
Head in a fullpipe
"These beer pipes were so slippery it was hard to walk in. It had been raining for days and we were all jonesing to ride anything -- I think everyone slammed."

"This was another amazing session in Ulladulah," says Nichols. "The crew was so heavy that when the session got going everyone was stoked and a mediocre skate park became rad. Peter Hewitt, lien to tail."
