White Fang has been dubbed "psychedelic skate punk," but if you ask them, they'll just say they play party music. We caught up with the dudes from the Portland, Ore., band at the epic Blundertown, Burger Records and Gnar Tapes pre-Halloween event, Night of the Living Shred, at The Blue Star in downtown Los Angeles.

The show had an awesome lineup, with bands ranging in style from dark tiki-surf to more stripped-down, dirty rock-and-roll and lo-fi garage haunts. The night packed an early punch with White Mystery, a rocking sibling two-piece from Chicago, and continued all the way through melodic, fuzzed-out, heavy jams from the Cosmonauts and a set from Guantanamo Baywatch. The crowd was costumed and ready to dance, with mummies and zombies playfully doing the twist. White Fang tore it down and closed the show, bringing party anthems with catchy, hilarious lyrics and guitar hook after hook.
