Robbie Brockel hits a bump to backside lipslide and holds on for the duration.

Just a year or two ago very few people outside of the Phoenix, Arizona area had heard about the talents of Robbie Brockel. The local desert ripper, Brockel was already a force to be reckoned with, with a deep bag of tricks and lot of power and pop. On the flow teams for Real skateboards and C1rca footwear back then, Brockel got his big chance when, in the summer of 2010, he was tapped by C1rca to be a part of the elite squad for their Thrasher magazine King of the Road contest duties. In order to stand a chance, C1rca needed to an eager, all-terrain ripper to round out their crew. Once in the van, Brockel proved his worth again and again as a team player, a dedicated skater and major new talent. Fast forward a little over a year later and Brockel is fast becoming a household name in skating. Fully backed by his sponsors with a standout video part in Real's "Since Day One," Brockel is on his way. We checked in with Brockel at home in Arizona to talk about his signature flip trick, skating naked and much more. Full video interview after the jump »
