Their F-it attitude and adrenaline-fueled antics often fire up their fans to charge the stage. FIDLAR covered The Descendants' "Suburban Home" during this set, mostly with guitarist Zac Carper flat on his back and rolling around onstage.
Thurston Moore's new band, Chelsea Light Moving, is a flashback to early Sonic Youth-influenced jangle riffage and punk-catalog homage. With a nod to the generation of Moore, now 54, this set was dedicated to Will Burroughs and Roky Erickson of 13th Floor Elevators. Moore is truly the Peter Pan of indie rock.
Charles Bradley, aka The Screaming Eagle Of Soul, left no dry eye in the house after his daytime performance, giving it his all. He walked off stage in sweat and tears after his last song, hugged audience members and genuinely thanked them for being there. A humble man, now in his 60s, Bradley was recently discovered by Daptone Records and his debut record was cut shortly thereafter.
Brooklyn fuzz/noise trio APTBS delivered a tinnitus-inducing wall of feedback during the Brooklyn Vegan day showcase. Guitars were smashed and eardrums were cashed while fans enjoyed free vegan chips and cheese.
