With A Bang
Ryan Villopoto got things going right out of the gate in the motocross season opener at the Red Bull Hangtown Classic in Sacramento, Calif. Villopoto won the overall at Hangtown with first-place finishes in both of the 450-class motos.
At the two Round 10 races in New Berlin, N.Y., Villopoto, No. 2 on the right, captured both holeshots. Good starts were a critical part of his run at his second career outdoor MX season title.
A Win In Washougal
Villopoto and season rival Ryan Dungey split moto wins in Washougal, Wash. Prior to his win here, Villopoto had never won a race in his home state of Washington.

Villopoto airs it out while making quick work of everything at the Round 11 motocross stop in Salt Lake City, Utah. He won both motos, the overall and secured the season title.
Back On Top
"We reached our goals that we set," said Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Ryan Villopoto. "I wanted to back up my Supercross championship and win another outdoor one. I really couldn't ask for anything more." After the Monster Energy Cup race on Oct. 19, Villopoto will head home to train and ready for a shot a fourth consecutive SX season title.
