DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Ryan Villopoto captured his third career AMA Supercross victory at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday night, giving him his fifth win of the year and the lead in the championship standings.
Riding the No. 1 Kawasaki, the native of Seattle passed KTM rider Ken Roczen on the fourth lap and drove to a 5.287-second win in the 20-lap 450 main event.
Rounding out the podium were KTM's Ryan Dungey and Honda's Justin Barcia. Roczen finished seventh.
Villopoto leads the standings by two points over Suzuki's David Millsaps, who finished 10th.
Frenchman Marvin Musquin rode the No. 25 KTM to victory in the 250 race, leading all 15 laps to win by 8.072 seconds.
