Off-road rider Maria Forsberg completed her perfect season Saturday by taking the victory in the Grand National Cross Country women's division at Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
The victory was Forsberg's 13th of the year and 14th in a row, dating back to last year.
The Boeing electrician from Brier, Wash., had already clinched her third GNCC title back in July and now has 35 wins in 38 starts.
Forsberg also won her second consecutive X Games gold medal in Enduro X back in July and in two weeks she will try to clinch the women's championship in the AMA EnduroCross Series at the final round in Las Vegas. Forsberg leads the overall standings and needs a top-three finish to lock up the Endurocross title.
