"This shot was taken between Christmas and New Year's when all the pro riders in my hometown of Åre, Sweden, usually enjoy the last days on home turf before a full winter of travel all over the world," says photographer Mattias Fredriksson of this shot of skier Henrik Windstedt. "We were a group of friends skiing together and the conditions were exceptionally epic."
"My friend, skateboard filmer Torsten Frank, had seen this place nearly 10 years ago in a local skate video and has tried to find out where this fullpipe was ever since," says photographer Daniel Wagner. "Finally, nearly a decade later, a local skateboarder told him where this secret place was and we invited some of Germany's best vert skaters and went there, deep into the Alps and had an awesome skate session."

"Josh Perry often gets stereotyped as being just a great skate park rider, probably because his local shredding spot is Dave Mirra's private warehouse, The Animal House," photographer Cody York says. "But he can throw down on any terrain." Case in point: Here's a stretched can-can tailwhip at the Shotgun Trails, far away from pro town in Raleigh, N.C.
