Inside Chad Degroot's BMX shop
Mr. Bikes and Boards
Following the closure of Mesh Skatepark in 2010, veteran flatland pro Chad Degroot decided to open a shop in the same area of Longwood, Fla. Dubbed Mr. Bikes and Boards, the shop is now the hub of the local BMX and skate scene.
There is a lot of BMX going on in one location. The few spots not full of bikes, parts, apparel, or skate accessories are covered in BMX and skate nostalgia and memorabilia.
Rows of complete bikes line the floors of Mr. B's.
Mr. B's has fully stocked skate and BMX counters as well as custom shop skate wheels.

Even with all of the nostalgia around the shop, there's still room for new flea market finds.
The Deco office and warehouse is located in the back and above the the shop.
Once upon a time, Chad Degroot was the primary pro flatland rider for the mid '90s Schwinn team. Luckily, he retained some of the bikes he rode from the Schwinn years.
Mr. B's skate side
New brands like Quintin have made their mark at Mr. B's, which also stocks a full selection of skateboard merchandise.

Degroot rode for clothing company UGP for years, and eventually took over as the team manager for a bit. Sometime in the mid '00s, he was offered a signature shoe, which was never released. He still has the samples though.
The long time Orlando spot Pic N Save spot is located in the same plaza as Mr. B's.
