On the road with the Cliché team
Last year, I sent a random email to the crew over at Clich Skateboards just to see what they were up to. And what do you know? They were planning a filming mission. So I got an invite to Lyon, France to tag along and snap some shots. This was basically their first filming mission since the completion of their last video "Bon Voyage." Daniel Espinoza tests the waters at this famous hubba in Lyon with an ollie into it.
Daniel Espinoza is way too talented. Here is a bird's eye view of Daniel with a F/S noseblunt slide.
There was only one demo on the trip. The bulk of the time was focused on getting footage. Here, Andrew Brophy and JB Gillet wind down after skating Vidy Skatepark in Switzerland.
Flo Mirtain's real name is Florent. I don't think I've ever meet a Florent, nor have I seen a switch F/S shuvit to 50-50 either.
Paul Hart, with the "Eye of the Tiger" song playing as his theme music, in my imagination at least.
Kyron Davis is the young flow kid on Clich from London. He's got a cool accent and a happy-go-lucky attitude. Here, he B/S Smiths somewhere in France.
This is steep. "Okay fine, I'll tre flip it for Instagram," said Lem Villemin.
Dustin Dollin and Cliché
Friend of the family, Dustin Dollin, showed up to hang out mid-trip. His presence and antics helped keep the crew motivated. From left to right: Paul Hart, Kyron Davis, Dustin Dollin, Andrew Brophy, and Flo Mirtain.
He's French and on flow: Max Geronz with a switch 360 flip. Keep an eye out for this kid. He's also got freakishly good manual skills.
Paul Hart skated every single spot. One might say Paul Hart's got mad heart. Here's a B/S 180 heelflip. He's the new guy on the team, and he only had a few clips in the "Bon Voyage" video, but rest assured his next part will be banging.
