Aaron Ross, barspin
Last weekend, the Sunday Bikes team visited Gordy's Bike Shop in Phoenix, Ariz. for a team demo, featuring Aaron Ross, Gary Young, Mark Burnett and tons of Phoenix locals. What follows is a small collection of photos from the event, beginning with Aaron Ross. Here, he crosses heavy traffic and tosses the bars over the tallest of the five near identical rails.
Team meet and greet
After the jam, the Sunday Team had a little meet and greet inside the shop. Enough riders stuck around that it took over an hour to get to everybody waiting.
Derek Hildebrandt, cannonball
Derek Hildebrandt does shows for Superhero making him comfortable enough to do just about anything on this jump box. Here he throws a cannonball over the Gordy's box jump.
Derek Hildebrandt, cliffhanger
Another shot of Derek Hildebrandt, this time with a cliffhanger.
X Games Barcelona BMX Park gold medalist Gary Young, who is also a Sunday Bikes team rider, strained his back riding street with the Sunday team earlier in the day, but he was still on hand in good spirits.
Jeff Wescott, Derek duster
Chicago transplant Jeff Wescott has been enjoying the dry warm weather in Phoenix. Here he fires off a full speed Derek duster grind.
KC Badger, one-footed table
One of the older rippers to come out of Phoenix, Kink Bike's KC Badger was on hand, throwing down some of his signature Southwest trails style.
Kyron Konakis, double whip
Local shredder Kyron Konakis is one of the Superheros newest team members and for good reason. Here he blasts a double tailwhip over the box jump.
Mark Burnett, barspin
Sunday's young Mark Burnett just got his driver's permit and has entirely too many flat rail moves. Here he does a rail ride to hop bar.
Per usual, fans go crazy for the mandatory product toss. It's always great to see riders get super excited about BMX (and free product.)
The line to meet the Sunday guys went outside and around the shop.
Team manager, team rider
Sunday's team manager and media wrangler Walter Pieringer is on the trip keeping things in order and capturing everything in his own style. Here, he chats with team rider Aaron Ross.
