Mike "Hucker" Clark's S&M Hucker
Mike Clark's S&M Hucker
After joining the S&M Bikes team at the beginning of 2012, Mike "Hucker" Clark got to work on a signature frame dubbed the "Hucker." The frame is now available, and Hucker chooses a 21" top tube, matte black version.
S&M Hucker frame
Made in the USA, the S&M Hucker frame is available in a wealth of top tube sizes (20.5", 20.75", 21", 21.25"), with a 13.3" rear end length, a 75 degree head tube angle and an overall weight of 4.86 lbs.
S&M Hucker graphics
What do you get when you combine the classic S&M shield with a great white shark and palm trees lifted from a Jimmy'Z tank top in 1988? You get Hucker's S&M frame graphics.
S&M Pitchfork XLTs
S&M's Pitchfork XLTs are one of the very few chromoly BMX forks made in the USA from double butted, tapered 4130 chromoly. The forks weigh in at 2 lbs. and are post-weld heat-treated for strength.
S&M Slam bars
Hucker's custom Slam Bars are made with thicker tubing because he does grip rides to and from the beginning of dirt jump sets. "I can't have my bars breaking during grip rides," said a pro for the first time since 1988.
The strange dual-cable device attaching Hucker's brake lever to his rear brake is known as an Odyssey Gyro. Once upon a time, BMX riders wanted to spin their handlebars 360 degrees without twisting their brake cable, and a man that often wore a tuxedo t-shirt developed this device. Hucker still likes to stop.
Hucker will never admit it, but the sole reason he rides brakes is because he uses the brake lever for added balance during grip rides. Well, that and he likes to stop too.
Demolition Trooper pedals
Remember that scene in Seinfeld when George Costanza was adamant about a man carrying wallet? Hucker feels the same way about metal pedals.
Hucker's drivetrain is mostly Demolition specific, and alludes to Zoolander at times. The sprocket is called the "Mugatu" sprocket, the cranks are Demolition, and the chain is from The Shadow Conspiracy.
S&M Enduro stem
S&M's Enduro stem is made in the USA. Hucker chooses the 49mm length version.
