It's officially 2012, and with the new year comes new sponsorship changes. First up is Mike "Hucker" Clark. After several years on the Redline Bicycles team, Hucker has made the move to S&M. According to S&M, "Although he's been family since he was a kid, we'd like to officially announce Mike "Hucker" Clark to our factory team. All of us are more than psyched he's part of the crew and we expect to have some crazy times ahead."
Hucker gained worldwide notoriety earlier this year with his hang-5 to front flip, and honestly, he seems like a perfect fit for the S&M pro team, which currently consists of Matt Beringer, Randy Brown, Mike Hoder, Chad Johnston, Josh Stricker and Cameron Wood. (And speaking of Cam Wood, why haven't you picked up a copy of "Killjoy" yet?)
Next up is yesterday's blog subject, Seth Kimbrough, who has joined the Dan's Comp pro team for 2012. According to Dan's, "We are pleased to announce that street riding legend and perpetual innovator of technical BMX riding, Seth Kimbrough has signed on to ride for Dan's Comp in 2012. Seth has been on our radar for years and now is the time to make it happen. Seth lives in Hartselle, Alabama, not far from his Dan's Comp team mates Nathan Williams, Shane Weston and Corey Martinez, who are all a couple hours up I-65 in Nashville."
So not only do we get a geography update, we get a stacked Dan's Comp pro team in the new year. Seth joins Bret Banasiewicz, Edwin De La Rosa, Vinnie Sammon, Jimmy Levan, Chase Dehart, Tony Hamlin, Ben Hucke, Tony Neyer, Corey Martinez, Nathan Williams, Nigel Sylvester, Ryan Metro, Morgan Long, Raul Ruiz, Hoang Tran, Matt Wilhelm, Terry Adams, Chad Kerley, Steve Churchill, Shane Weston and the Dan's Comp race team.
In related news, it appears as though Robbie Morales is no longer a member of the Dan's Comp team. Have a safe and happy new year.
