Taking a cue from X Games Aspen in January, X Games FILM is back in Brazil with three new features to keep Foz do Iguaçu fans entertained between musical and athletic performances.
Kicking things off Thursday night is motocross cult favorite "Crusty Demons 16: Outback Attack." The movie, put together by Jon Freeman and Dana Nicholson, chronicles the Crusty crew's travels through Australia. Maddo, Jacko, Bilko, Sinclair and Sauly are joined by a new breed of rippers in this 55-minute film produced by Cami Freeman.
Showing: 4:30-5:50 p.m. BRT Thursday, X Fest Stage at Parque Infraero
Next up, on Friday is "Birdmen: Original Dream of Flight." Take to the skies with some of the world's most skilled and daring wingsuit BASE jumpers who have dedicated their lives to pushing past the limits of technology and human fear to glide like birds. This 52-minute film was directed by Matt Sheridan and produced by Mike Steen.
Showing: 2-3 p.m. BRT Friday, X Fest Stage at Parque Infraero
Wrapping up the week's showings is "Anything Sing," directed by Kai Neville and Victor Pakpour and produced by Reef and What Youth. The 27-minute film -- fresh off its premiere Thursday in Encinitas, Calif. -- shows what happens between surf sessions when a surfer travels across the world for waves. Look for cameos from Luke Davis, Nick Rozsa, Conner Coffin, Mick Fanning, Beau Foster, Ford Archbold, Shane Dorian and many more.
Showing: 9:30-10 p.m. BRT Saturday, X Fest Stage at Parque Infraero
Films will play on-site only between X Games MUSIC concerts; a full schedule (in local Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, time) is available here. Access to movie screenings is included in the price of event admission. Tickets may be purchased at www.livepass.com.br/XGames/.
