Fit Bike Co.The 2013 Tom Dugan signature series Fit complete in green was one of ten bikes stolen from Pusher BMX.

Clay Brown's Pusher BMX shop in Denver, Colo. was broken into between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. late Wednesday night/Thursday morning, Brown told ESPN.com. A total of ten brand-new 2013 Fit Bike Co., Verde BMX, and Cult BMX bikes were among the items stolen, according to Brown, who says the culprits also trashed the store and stole helmets, shoes, and other products. He filed a report with the Denver Police Department on Thursday and says he's looking for any and all information about the break-in that might lead to the return of the bikes.

"There are ten bikes missing: the 2013 Tom Dugan signature Fit complete in green, two 2013 Verde Cadets, a smaller 16-inch Cult bike, two Verde Prisms, a white and orange 2013 Fit Eddie Cleveland complete, a matte black and slate blue 2013 Fit Ben Lewis, and a gloss black 2013 Dugan Fit bike," Brown told ESPN.com. "These are brand new and easily identifiable bikes, and any information about what happened to them would be awesome: my email and contact information are on the website at PusherBMX.com." The Denver Police Department also has an anonymous tip line at (720) 913-7867 and is requesting information about the break-in and missing bikes, according to a department spokeswoman.

Brown, a longtime judge at X Games and other BMX events, bills Pusher BMX as "Colorado's only rider owned and operated BMX shop." He says he's rattled that the thieves -- presumably from the local BMX scene or at least with some specific knowledge about hot new BMX products, based on what was stolen -- would target a rider-owned shop that has worked hard to grow and promote BMX in Denver and around Colorado. The shop team sponsors more than a dozen local riders, including X Games vert veteran and "Pusher Team Member for Life" Jay Eggleston, and has sponsored and hosted dozens of local events since opening in December 2010.

Pusher BMX is located at 5777 East Evans Ave., Unit 2 in South Denver and offers mail-order service at PusherBMX.BigCartel.com. "We could use all the support we can get right now," Brown told ESPN.com.
