"Nitro Circus: The Movie" ranked 13th at the box office by pulling in $1.18 million in its first weekend in theaters, according to Variety.
The Arc Entertainment 3D action comedy starring Travis Pastrana and his daredevil friends has made $2.17 million through Sunday since its Aug. 8 opening in 800 theaters.
Reviewers weren't impressed with "Nitro," which earned one favorable review out of 12, according to Rotten Tomatoes [8 percent on its Tomatometer].
"If you're going to keep throwing your life on the line, you've got to give us a reason to care," wrote Elizabeth Weitzman of the New York Daily News.
Seventy-one percent of 2,504 Rotten Tomatoes users liked it, however.
"Nitro Circus: The Movie" also registered a 43 out of 100 Metascore and a 9.7 out of 10 user score on Metacritic.com.
In one mixed review, Nick Schager of Slant Magazine gave it 2½ stars out of four, writing "the material's true guiding spirit is one of rollicking boundary-pushing craziness, as Pastrana and his friends attempt all manner of tricks that defy good sense, from jumping from one 400-foot Panama City skyscraper rooftop to another, to crossing chasms in semi trucks and speedboats, to attempting to best one another for the world-record number of car-crash rolls."
