WASHOUGAL, Wash. -- Red Bull KTM's Ryan Dungey won his sixth consecutive AMA Pro Motocross race in the 450 Class at the AMA Pro at Washougal MX Park Saturday. This was fifth year in a row that Dungey has taken home a win in Washougal. MotoConcepts Suzuki's Mike Alessi, of Victorville, Calif., broke Dungey's 10-moto winning streak, taking the holeshot in first moto and holding onto the lead for the win -- Alessi's first moto win since 2010. Alessi finished second in the second moto.

"I was riding in second, and I was up on (Alessi), but I had a hard time making the pass," said Dungey. "If anything, it was a kick in motivation to go a little harder, which I did in the second moto."

Team Chaparral Honda's Andrew Short, of Smithville, Texas, rounded out the podium in third, with a third place finish in the first moto and fourth in the second. Dungey retains an 80-point lead in the 450 Class standings over Alessi.

In the 250 Class, GEICO Honda's Justin Barcia, raced to his second victory of the season. Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin, of France, got the holeshot on the first moto, only to be overtaken by Barcia on the 11th lap. Barcia held the lead in the second moto until the 13th lap, when Blake Baggett, of Grand Terrace, Calif., came from behind to take the win.

"The first moto was awesome, I had to ride really hard," said Barcia. "I just kind of got sick getting roosted, so I made the pass. In the second moto, I got a good start and was riding great, but Blake (Baggett) pressured me and I ended up losing my front end with a couple laps to go. The last two years here I've really struggled, but after today I'm happy."

Barcia's first- and second-place finishes were enough for him to take the overall win. Eli Tomac, of Cortez, Colo. took second with a second place win in the first moto and third place win in the second. Baggett, who finished in sixth place in the first moto, rounded out the podium in third. Baggett has an 11-point lead in overall points over Barcia headed into the next race.

In the Women's Motocross Championship event, Ashley Fiolek swept the motos for her third win of the season. Puerto Rico's Tarah Gieger came in second, with a third-place finish in the first moto and second-place in the second. Jessica Patterson came in second in the first moto and was looking to place overall, but her eighth-place finish in the second moto knocked her out of contention. Instead Brazil's Mariana Balbi finished third. Patterson, who has been racing with a broken hand, is still the tour points leader. She has a two-point lead over Gieger.
