In this video, we took two pairs of sisters -- three professional skiers and one snowboarder from New Zealand and Australia -- to the mountains of New Zealand's Southern Alps. There was Winter X Games slopestyle skier Anna Segal, from Australia, and her sister, Nat Segal, who competes on the Freeskiing World Tour. And there's Freeride World Tour athletes and Kiwi twins, big-mountain skier Janina Kuzma and big-mountain snowboarder Maria Kuzma.
We gave them a helicopter, a cat and a snowmobile to play with on private farming land with Queenstown Snow Cats and pitted girl against girl, sisters against sisters, and Australia against New Zealand.
The heli-accessed private terrain of Lorne Peak sits in The Remarkables Range, not far from the sleepy lakeside town of Kingston. This is a place where a sheep farmer flies the chopper from a private paddock, a carrot farmer drives the snowcat, and the guide makes the lunch.
