HRE's motorsports has teamed up with RallyCross racer Rhys Millen to build the company's first off-road specific RX43 bead-lock wheel. Rhys Millen Racing collaborated with HRE's engineering staff to create the wheel.
The Global RallyCross Championship heads to the Texas Motor Speedway this Saturday, June 9, for its second stop of the season.
With a forged 13 spoke profile, the RX43 provides a self centering aggressively knurled outer ring to hold the bead of the tire securely in place while also protecting the titanium hardware and valve stems from wheel to wheel contact.
"We're constantly pushing the boundaries of what HRE can do for racers in any discipline," said HRE President Alan Peltier in a release. "The RX43 wheel meshes our lightweight R43 series with bead-lock technology from the off-road realm to give rallycross drivers a confidence they're going to have a robust wheel and tire package that survives to the end of the race."
