An amalgamation of Dane Reynolds, Julian Wilson and Justin Bieber, Noa Deane's your prototypical Coolie kid. According to his website, like so many tragic hipsters today, besides his "job" as a surfer, he reckons himself an artist and a photographer. His scribbles appear on par with those of Reynolds, but what's that really mean? Art's subjective. Like Wilson, Luke Short makes most of Deane's surfboards. They also share a propensity for big tail blowing fin wafts. And like Bieber he seems to have some something wrong with his hair. Roasting and ribbings aside, Deane rips and comes from good surf stock. His dad, Wayne Deane, dominated the Gold Coast lineups before his son came kicking, screaming and carving into the world in 1994. We're going to see a lot more of young Noa Deane in the years to come, but for now here's a little montage from a recent boat trip.
