    Travis Pastrana vs. Tom Wallisch

    After a close vote that went back and forth over five days, Tom Wallisch defeated Travis Pastrana in the final of ESPN.com's Action Sports Star bracket to crown the top action sports athlete in the world.

    Voting closed at the end of Monday, and here are the final results: Tom Wallisch -- 5,680 votes; Travis Pastrana -- 4,534 votes.

    • Sports: Motocross, rally car racing, stock car racing
    • Credits: With 13 Moto-X medals and four Rally Car Racing medals at the X Games, Pastrana has branched out to NASCAR's Nationwide Series. He set a world record in a ramp-to-ramp car jump (269 feet) on Jan. 1, 2010, in Long Beach, Calif.

    Tom Wallisch

    • Age: 24
    • Country: United States
    • Sport: Freeskiing
    • Credits: The 2012 Winter X Ski Slopestyle gold medalist also won the overall Dew Tour title in 2012. He also won Slopestyle silver at Winter X Tignes 2012 and gold at Winter X Tignes 2010.
