ESPN and CANAL + Events will collaborate to host and televise the third iteration of Winter X Games Tignes from March 14-16 at Tignes Ski and Snowboard resort in the French Alps. Winter X Games Tignes 2012 will welcome 150 world-class athletes competing in Snowboard and Skiing events. There will be eight different competitions for men and women over three days, including Ski SuperPipe, Snowboard SuperPipe, Ski Slopestyle, Snowboard Slopestyle as well as Snowmobile demonstrations. Winter X Games Tignes will bring together ESPN's world class X Games franchise with France's leading pay TV broadcaster and the local expertise of Tignes Resort.
The event will once again host athletes from all over the globe including:
Jenny Jones (GBR) -- Women's Snowboard Slopestyle gold
Kevin Rolland (FRA) -- Men's Ski SuperPipe gold
Xavier Bertoni (FRA) -- Men's Ski SuperPipe silver
Gretchen Bleiler (USA) -- Women's Snowboard SuperPipe gold
Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI) -- Men's Snowboard SuperPipe gold
