Raven Tershy came into the X Games last weekend as a relative new-comer in the field. Core skaters know Tershy as the transition ripper that won the Copenhagen Pro bowl contest and as the kid who recently made the switch from Creature skateboards to Chocolate skateboards. Some skate nerds might even know that Tershy is cousin to industry insiders Nick Tershay and Joey Tershay of Diamond Supply Co. and Ace trucks, respectively [and yes, they spell their last names differently]. However, anyone watching the X Games last weekend now knows Tershy as the dominant skater that beat out veterans like Omar Hassan and newcomers including Ben Hatchell and Aaron "Jaws" Homoki, to win X Games gold.
Recently, our friend Tadashi Yamaoda caught up with Tershy at the Girl and Chocolate skateboards private skatepark in Torrance, California to session a bit and get a few words from the young man himself. Full video interview after the jump »
