    Texas Toast Day Two

Odyssey's Texas Toast Jam is in the history books, and Sunday's festivities included a somewhat traditional dirt comp, Empire BMX's curved wallride contest and Sunday's icepick challenge. In the dirt comp, Gary Young took home first place (and $5500), following by Chase Hawk in second ($3000) and Ricky Moseley in third ($2000). Rounding out the top five was Clint Reynolds in fourth place ($1250) and Kevin Porter in fifth ($750.) In the curved wallride comp, Gary Young took home another first place prize (and another $500), and in the icepick challenge, Matt Houck clocked in a massive 50-foot, 8-inch icepick for first place cash ($250.)

By all accounts, the contest was amazing, but for everyone, the highlight seemed to be Fit/Odyssey legend Mike Aitken taking a rebel run through pro dirt finals. Aitken, who suffered a traumatic head injury in 2008 and is still recovering from his injuries, inspired all in attendance with the run. "During pro dirt finals, Mike got on his bike and made it through the rhythm section while the whole place was cheering him on. It was the feel good moment of the decade," said "Anthem ll" producer Stew Johnson.

We'll have a full gallery from day two up within the hour. But for now, thanks to Taj Mihelich and Odyssey BMX for putting the fun back in BMX contests.
