Remember those old Airwalk slip-ons you rocked as a kid? I do, and they were amazing. No laces to tie, no fuss -- just hop in and jam. Today slip-ons aren't as popular as they once were, but a new breed of slipper has taken its place. Call it a slipper, house shoe, enclosed flip-flop, all-terrain foot protection or all of the above, because well, it is all of the above. DVS Shoes was the first to produce this type of all-terrain slipper, dubbed the Francisco, and now DC has followed suit with the Villain, even giving Travis Pastrana and his Nitro Circus crew their own colorway.

    WHAT IT IS:
What is it? Well, technically it's called a slipper, but this amazing contraption can be rocked outdoors as well as indoors. Having a barbeque and you're going in and out of the house to the grill and back? Bam, the Nitro Circus slipper has your back. Peeling yourself off your couch to walk down your long dirt driveway to get the mail? Bam, the Nitro Circus slipper is there in a jiffy. Going on a date with that cute bank teller you met while putting money in your overdrawn account? Yeah, the Nitro Circus slipper probably isn't the best for a formal occasion like that, but I think you get the picture. I like to refer to it as the lazy man's shoe.

DC ShoesThe DC Nitro Circus slipper also comes in blue. Bam!

    WHY IT RULES:
The DC Nitro Circus slipper rules because it was born to rule. Seriously, who likes tying their shoes and spending more than 2.5 seconds slapping them on? It's just plain ludicrous, and I'm not talking about the rapper. As I mentioned before, the DC Nitro Circus slipper makes a great indoor/outdoor alternative, but if you're a true pimp playa mack daddy, you can easily rock it as your daily footwear. However, there has been no official scientific study as to how ladies respond to a guy wearing slippers, but if you can pull it off, I say go for it.

    WHERE TO FIND IT:
As always, the best place to get yourself a pair of these babies is to order them directly from DC's online store , as it's pretty unlikely your local skate shoe retailer will have them in stock. And if you don't mind ordering from other third party online retailers, you can definitely get a better deal going that route. Slip on, slip off, just don't get caught slippin'.
