The Surfrider Foundation announced today that it's teamed up with Protect Our Winters, the snowsports non-profit, to offer a combined membership. Now, you can purchase a joint annual membership to both organizations for $40, a $5 savings off buying both memberships separately.
"We couldn't be more thrilled to be teaming up with Protect Our Winters," says Surfrider Foundation CEO Jim Moriarty. "This is a great opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to support two great organizations in protecting our playgrounds, be they sea or summit."
Your membership fee to the Surfrider Foundation will help keep coastal waters clean through their Blue Water Task Force program and will protect world-class beaches and breaks such as Trestles from development (plus you'll receive receive certain member discounts and a subscription to Surfrider's publication Making Waves).
Members of Protect Our Winters will help the organization fight climate change (plus you'll get a POW sticker and a monthly newsletter). Protect Our Winters, now in its third year, has worked to place solar energy projects in rural communities, appeared before Congress on Capitol Hill and helped support Teton Gravity Research's environmentally-themed film project "Generations."
