BC-based ski photographer Jordan Manley has released his second webisode in a series of three ski and travel videos that he shot last winter on trips to Kashmir, La Grave and the Canadian Rockies, all presented by Gore-tex and Arcteryx. You can find the first episode here.
In this one, skiers Chad Sayers and Tobin Seagel continue their winter journey by traveling to La Grave, France, home to the Téléphérique La Grave-La Meije, a quirky yet stalwart cable car that transports skiers to 3,200 meters, high in the southern French Alps. "Here, the terrain is wild, unmarked, and unpatrolled -- a stripped down, raw version of big mountain skiing," says Manley. "With two kilometers of vertical drop, a simple ski run journeys through a labyrinth of glaciers, couloirs and forest glades."
Local freerider Bruno Florit and UIAGM mountain guide Joe Vallone are also featured in the film. Episode three, Freshfield Icefield - A Skier's Journey, will be released in the next two weeks.
