When you think of Alaska, you think of gas-guzzling helicopters, and the thousands of dollars you'll need to spend in order to get easy access to the peaks you want to ride. But often overlooked is how much terrain is accessible by snowmobile. With some guidance and a little resourceful thinking, and a few boot packs, you can still get to some primo spots and get some of the same thrills you would by heli. Heck, Jeremy Jones and crew showed that you can get it done without either.
