We're another week into April, Alaska is in session and another episode has arrived from the MTNOPS Tailgate Alaska gathering. This segment delivers some interesting news by way of a volcanic curveball with Mt. Redoubt erupting several times over a two-day period. Hundreds of flights in and out of Alaska were cancelled or delayed as ash poured into the air. And what blows up must come down, with the ash eventually forming its own unique layer as it settled into the snow and guides telling how they kept a close watch to make sure it didn't turn into an unstable layer. But from the looks of Rob Kingwell and others getting theirs, it seems this small setback only added to the experience of gettin' it done in AK.
